Role Purpose

The IT Support Analyst will own the support for our Northern Europe region and will work in close collaboration with the rest of the European IT team and group central functions. As part of the role, the candidate will be mentoring and overseeing the work of other colleagues based in the same region, ensuring they follow best practices and organise their work accordingly.

The successful candidate will be a subject matter expect in their field and be responsible for the delivery and implementation of our key IT systems and equipment, including but not limited to Network infrastructure, Laptop/PC hardware, PDAs and others. As part of the candidate's role and responsibilities they will support the business in any migrations, system updates or office moves and may be tasked with managing other stakeholders during these projects. 

This is a hands-on role that requires solid IT support background and includes frequent travel within the Northern Europe region.

The position will report into the Head of IT & Airport Systems for Europe.

Main Accountabilities

 

The role holder will be part of the IT Europe function, responsible for:

  • Implementation and support of Airport systems and Applications
  • Work closely with the Menzies development team on the implementation and support of internally developed airport applications.
  • Work with third party suppliers on implementation and support of airport systems and operations.
  • Installation and support of Hardware devices across Airport units in the Netherlands, Sweden, Norway, Denmark and potentially other Europe stations.
  • Troubleshooting and resolving general IT issues and system failures.
  • Implementation, upgrade and support of Core IT Network Infrastructure
  • Carry out a Network Audit at each Menzies location within his region, providing current design and Asset List
  • Gather intelligence of current challenges and issue related to the Network Infrastructure.
  • Work closely with the Global Network Team on implementing and supporting the agreed network design.
  • Ensuring compliance with security and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborating with other IT professionals and airport staff to receive feedback regarding system performance, issues and feature requests.
  • Training Menzies airport staff on using IT systems and software.
  • Produce detailed documentation about system configurations and procedures for future reference.

  • Fully understand the Company Health & Safety and Security policies.
  • Attend training courses as may be arranged by the Company

                

Qualifications, Competencies & Experience

 

Utilizing their extensive background in IT application support, this role holder will have:

  • Proficiency in troubleshooting and resolving IT issues.
  • Knowledge of airport systems and/or IT infrastructure.
  • Experience in managing and maintaining IT systems in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and work under pressure to meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency in software and hardware configuration.
  • Understanding of security and regulatory requirements for airport IT systems.
  • Ability to train and mentor junior team members and other colleagues.
  • Experience in managing projects, communicating with stakeholders and completing their work end-to-end.

Experience in the aviation industry is a plus.
