Role Purpose

Reporting to the Aircraft Operations Manager, the job is responsible for the business interests and day-to-day shift operational performance of the Cabin Services and De-Icing at the LHR Airport. The role requires a strong leader with proven managerial skills.

What you will be doing

Responsible for assisting the Aircraft Operations Manager in the day-to-day operational performance, safety, security and customer satisfaction of the product through effective support and management of the team.
Represent the Company in a professional manner at all times.
Orientates the Cabin Services and De Icing around company values (S.P.I.R.I.T) and put them into practice.
Ensuring safety and security procedures are according to standards set within the Menzies Health & Safety Policy Manual, and according to international aviation standards.
Ensure that all staff fully understand that safety is the number one priority for the company.
Liaise with the H&S team, create and sustain a safe working environment and culture. Ensure all staff comply with the Health & Safety at Work Act 1974 and revisions and accurate reporting of all accidents and incidents incurred whilst on duty via MORSE.

What we are looking for

Substantial operational management/supervisory experience.
Experience and knowledge of aviation services, in particular cabin services and de-icing handling operations.
Ability to communicate successfully at all levels, whilst leading and motivating a growing workforce.
Excellent leadership and people management skills.
Strong communications skills and experience in liaising with senior airline, airport, and other stakeholder personnel.
Good knowledge of GSE.
