Role Purpose

We currently have exciting opportunities for Cargo Flight Clerks to join our Sydney International M1 Cargo Teams on a permanent full time basis.

What you will be doing

  • Duties in addition to Flight Clerk include all lower grades.
  • Process documentation at freight acceptance and delivery.
  • Complete AVI check sheets and process.
  • Maintain professional relationships with customers.
  • Assisting customers with enquiries and resolving customer complaints.
  • Create invoices and reconcile banking ensuring that all applicable charges are collected.
  • Perform callouts.
  • Complete general filing and other office duties.
  • Relief for team leader/supervisor when necessary.
  • Ensure that productivity and performance criteria are met in the designated area of responsibility, including completion of regular performance assessment reports.
  • Ascertain daily work schedules and allocate specific tasks to meet daily work objectives in a designated group.
  • Carry out various administrative and reporting duties, including the operation of communication and computer aides.
  • Must demonstrate leadership, decision-making and organisational skills necessary to efficiently meet performance requirements in a changing work environment.
  • Provide general supervision to employees in a designated group on a day-to-day basis.
  • Responsible for the control, supervision and training of designated staff in accordance with established procedures by means of personal instruction and demonstration.
  • Be responsible for ensuring employees in a designated group monitor and check the serviceability of equipment used.
  • Assist the team leader to monitor staff and work in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Communicate directly with airline representatives.
  • Ensure adherence to airline procedures including customs, quarantine and airport requirements.
  • Complete all documentation, administration and system input relating to Exports and Imports.
  • Be Dangerous Goods acceptance trained and perform dangerous goods inspections.
  • Perform bond checks.
  • Control ULD's including compiling record and processing messaging to airline customers.
  • Complete all documentation, administration and system input relating to Exports and Imports.
  • Update system data – Revenue.
  • Process formal claims.
  • Ensure account keeping is accurate.
  • Ensure daily running of Customer Service and Tracing departments.
  • Maintain archive systems.
  • Hold and maintain a valid Cat 2 ADA.
  • Hold and maintain a valid ASIC.
  • Work Down as directed.
