Role Purpose

The Duty Manager Office, in collaboration with the Department Manager Office, is responsible for coordinating the operational activities related to Planning & Documentation, serving as the operational link between employees and the Department Manager. The DM supports the Department Manager in ensuring that service deliveries meet customer agreements (SLA), while maintaining high standards of customer service and quality.

This position reports operationally to the Department Manager Office, is primarily a daytime role, and is compensated according to the pay scale under the managers tariff area.

The DM is expected to support the Department Manager by fostering cooperation across departments, ensuring that SLAs, internal guidelines, and communication procedures are followed. The DM should be proactive in optimizing resource allocation and traffic flow, while ensuring accurate service delivery. The role also includes ensuring compliance with airline-specific procedures and fostering collaboration between MWC units, and external stakeholders.

The position must operate in line with MWC's operational priorities and DNA: Safety, Punctuality, and Care.

What you will be doing

  • Act as DM's primary delegate for daily operations, holding decision authority for assigned sub-processes during DM absence
  • Ensure Optimize real-time resource allocation (staff/equipment) based on flight schedules, volumes, and SLA commitments
  • Authorize overtime/shift adjustments within Department Manager guidelines to meet operational demands
  • Ensure end-to-end cargo processing compliance with airline CHMs, IATA DGR, and special handling protocols (AVI/VAL/HUM/PER/PIL etc.)
  • Enforce strict adherence to: EU/Norwegian aviation security regulations (ACC3), IATA Special Handling Regulations (DGR, TCR, PCR, LAR, ULDR, etc), Menzies Standards and Policies

What we are looking for

  • Enforce strict adherence to: EU/Norwegian aviation security regulations (ACC3), IATA Special Handling Regulations (DGR, TCR, PCR, LAR, ULDR, etc), Menzies Standards and Policies
  • Solid understanding of computer systems.
  • Leadership experience is desirable.
  • Valid Class B driver's license and access to a car.
  •  Shows ability and willingness for professional development.
