Role Purpose

 The Hi-Lift Driver is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of high-lift vehicles used to service aircraft. This includes loading and unloading cleaning equipment, stock, waste, and onboard supplies, while maintaining strict safety and operational standards in a busy airside environment.

In addition, the role includes operating bowsers to deliver essential ground services, including potable water replenishment and aircraft lavatory servicing, ensuring compliance with aviation safety, hygiene, and quality standards.

What you will be doing

  • Operate Hi-Lift vehicles and attached bowser units in accordance with company procedures, AGOM, and IATA AHM standards
  • Conduct full pre-operational inspections before use, checking for: Fluid leaks, tyre condition, lights, battery, and overall vehicle condition
  • Ensure both the Hi-Lift and bowser attachments are safe, serviceable, and correctly documented before operation.
  • Drive cautiously within airside areas, maintaining awareness of aircraft, vehicles, and personnel at all times, using   banksman/guide person when manoeuvring near aircraft.
  • Portable Water Servicing: carry out daily water checks (dip tests) and maintain hygiene of tanks, hoses, and connections, supporting periodic sanitisation/chlorination of potable water equipment where required
