Menzies Aviation is looking for an experienced and proactive HR Manager to join our team at Oslo Airport. In this key role, you will oversee HR and payroll operations at the station, ensuring compliance with Norwegian labor law, union agreements, and company policies. 

Menzies Aviation Oslo delivers comprehensive ground handling services, ranging from passenger service to baggage handling. With a team of over 650 dedicated employees, the station is committed to providing high-quality, efficient solutions that add value to customers and passengers. 

As the Manager of the HR department, you will lead a team consisting of HR, Payroll and a Station Administrator. You will cooperate with both station management and the corporate HR team to support a safe, structured, and high-performing working environment.  

 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Work closely with senior management to translate business goals into actionable HR strategies. 
  • Accountable for planning and managing the HR department budget. 
  • Plan and lead strategic HR work, including setting goals and creating action plans to improve the department and support the business.  
  • Lead and develop the local HR and payroll teams, setting clear goals and helping them grow while delivering day-to-day operations. 
  • Drive change management initiatives by aligning people, processes, and communication to support long-term transformation and continuous improvement. 
  • Ensure compliance with Norwegian labor laws, company policies, and union agreements. 
  • Manage union relations and represent the company in local and central salary negotiations.  
  • Provide HR support and guidance to station leaders to support a positive, fair, and high-performing work culture. 
  • Ensure a proactive HSE culture by maintaining routines, ensuring compliance, and participating in the local AMU. 
  • Report HR KPIs and collaborate on corporate initiatives. 

 

 

Qualifications: 

  • A bachelor's or master's degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a similar field. 
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience within HR, at least 2 of which should be in a strategic or management role. 
  • Strong knowledge of Norwegian labor legislation and collective agreements and knowledge of how to apply them in a practical day-to-day context. 
  • Good system skills, such as Office 365 and HRM systems 
  • Fluent in a Scandinavian language and English, both written and spoken. 
  • Experience within the aviation field is an advantage, but not a requirement
