Role Purpose

Employees are responsible for their own work, are able to understand detailed instructions and work from established procedures with limited supervision.

What you will be doing

  • Maintaining a strong safety culture within the workforce – driving OH&S awareness and compliance.
  • Meet deadlines and show initiative, discretion and judgment within the range of their skills and knowledge.
  • Ensuring that productivity and performance criteria are met.
  • Carry out freight acceptance and dispatch duties.
  • Load and unload vehicles within the landside forecourt area. 
  • Be responsible for freight assembly and aircraft pallet restraining for export cargo.

You will have a responsibility and duty whilst at work to take reasonable care of the health, safety and wellbeing of yourself and others in accordance with provided information, training, and workplace health and safety rules or procedures. Qualification and experience:

  • Apply detailed knowledge of company policies and procedures
  • Apply detailed understanding of customer airline systems
  • Apply detailed knowledge of Government regulations
  • Resolve operational issues within a designated area or group.
  • Provide detailed advice and information on the organisation's products and services.
  • People management principles.
  • Incident reporting and investigation
  • Acquire a detailed knowledge of customs and quarantine requirements with respect to the movement of freight, live animals and luggage on international flights.
