Role Purpose

Assessor (previously known as an On-site demonstrator [OSD] means a qualified and competent person who can formally assess a trainee's achievement in the application of theoretical knowledge and practical competences to the expected standard and is an objective measure. An assessor shall hold a Level 3 qualification or equivalent, see qualifications as detailed in 6.2 - Assessor qualification. 

 

What you will be doing

  • Remain current, knowledgeable and implement policies, processes and procedures as defined in applicable chapters of Menzies Aviation, Learning Development Policy (LDP) and airline manuals. (Ref: LDP 6.2.3 / AHM 9.3.4) 
  • Deliver training requirements, as required to meet operational demand and planning, in adherence to LDP and in line with all local operation procedures and regulations. (Ref: LDP 6.2.1 / AHM 9.3.1) 
  • Deliver on the job training for both new and existing employees. Following standards and teaching styles outlined in LDP (Ref: LDP 2.5.3, 6.2.1 / AHM 9.3.4) and agreed in standardisation meetings. 
  • Train people according to Menzies Aviation and customer standard operating procedures and Ground Operations Manuals. (Ref: LDP 6.2.1 / AHM 9.3.1) 
  • To lead onsite demonstration by example and ensure Menzies procedures and policies are performed properly and upheld. (Ref: LDP 6.2.1)

What we are looking for

  • Must have a minimum of 36months of operational experience in the discipline being trained. (Ref: LDP 6.2.2.1 / AHM 9.3.2) (Or locally approved equivalent) 
  • Good knowledge of English Language 
  • Must have good performance record with good interpersonal skills (Ref: LDP 6.2.2.1 / AHM 9.3.2) 
  • Good communication skills (Ref: LDP 6.2.2.1 / AHM 9.3.2)in working with a diverse group of people. 
  • Has excellent procedural knowledge (Ref: LDP 6.2.2.1)and professionalism.
