Role Purpose

To lead by example, a Ramp Shift and ensuring rigorous standards of Health & Safety and delivering consistent high performance within the constraints of service level agreements and at the same time you will implement a continuous improvement programme for your team and exercise budget control.

Responsible for Ramp agents, Crew Chiefs and Turnaround Co-ordinators and all staff allocated under the daily ramp operations.

What you will be doing

  • Manage effective measurement systems to monitor the performance of your Ramp Team
  • Minimise staff turnover and sickness through effective management systems
  • To ensure consistent comprehensive practices are in place for management of all aspects of the company handbook e.g. disciplinary, absence and grievances
  • Conducting probationary reviews, coaching and developing staff through regular appraisals in line with Company policies and Procedures
  • Create and sustain a safe working environment and culture. Ensure all staff comply with the Health & Safety at Work

What we are looking for

  • Experience as a Duty Manager and in coordinating and allocating work within a team or project to ensure effective task execution.
  • Ability to exercise sound judgment based on the analysis of available information.
  • High attention to quality, ensuring that deliverables from both self and others meet required standards.
  • Solid communication skills, diplomacy, and influencing skills to guide, motivate, and persuade others.
  • Strong understanding of procedures and concepts within own technical or subject area, with basic knowledge of related fields.
