Role Purpose

Are you ready to shape the future of people strategy across one of the most dynamic regions in aviation? As Senior Vice President – HR (OSEA), you'll lead a passionate team of HR professionals and partner closely with regional leaders to drive real business impact. Working hand-in-hand with the Executive Vice President (OSEA), you'll champion and execute forward thinking People initiatives that fuel performance, growth, and employee engagement seamlessly aligning regional ambitions with Menzies Aviation's global people strategy.

In this pivotal role, you'll serve as a trusted strategic advisor to the regional leadership team, overseeing the full scope of HR operations. From talent development and organisational design to culture-building and change leadership, you'll be at the forefront of creating a thriving, high performing workforce that powers our success across the region

 

What you will be doing

  • Provide strategic leadership, direction, and development to the HR team across the OSEA Region, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, customer-focused HR services.
  • Partner with the Executive Leadership Team to design and implement tailored people strategies that directly support and drive the overarching business objectives.
  • Lead the development, execution, and continuous improvement of HR and people initiatives aligned with organisational goals.
  • Ensure compliance with all employment laws and regulatory requirements across the group, fostering a safe, inclusive, and legally compliant workplace. Educate and guide management on legal obligations and HR best practices.
  • Oversee the delivery of comprehensive, end-to-end HR services, including but not limited to: talent acquisition, onboarding, learning and development, employee relations, succession planning, wellbeing, total rewards, policy governance, performance management, organisational design, and culture transformation.

What we are looking for

  • Extensive, proven experience operating at a senior level within Human Resources in a large, complex matrix organisation.
  • Senior HR leadership experience within Australia, New Zealand and the South-East Asia region.
  • Strong ability to build and maintain effective business relationships with both internal teams and external stakeholders.
  • Exceptional leadership and people management skills, with a successful track record of developing people strategies and leading multidisciplinary HR teams.
  • Commercially astute, with a clear understanding of how to balance organisational value with investment in people initiatives.
