The part you’ll play

As the Sri Lankan Airlines liaison you will be based in the MW 1 and will be responsible to oversee the Srilankan Airlines products, acting the main communications conduit. You will be ensuring that the highest quality of service is achieved and that all UL shipments are handled in accordance with Sir Lankan Airlines procedures.

  • Responsible for the accurate processing of freight documentation, ensuring it is in accordance with Sri Lankan Airlines operational procedures, handling briefs and that service level agreements are maintained.
  • Ensure effective communication both written and verbal, with all operational parties to ensure relative information and updates are effectively communicated.
  • Responsible for providing written daily updates to Cargo Management on operational situations, this may be required more regularly where operational issues arise.
  • Daily planning of workload to anticipate and prevent handling issues while monitoring the flights before build up, after build up and at the aircraft.
  • Ensure all FWB/FHL entries are completed prior to flight departure.
  • Respond promptly to all mail & cargo queries.
  • Fully complete the Flight Handling Report with inbound and outbound information in the required format.
  • Ensure all messaging is completed according to the timeframes required by Sri Lankan Airlines.
  • Ensure onload figures are sent to relevant parties timely.
  • Ensure no delay to A/C due to cargo/mail/courier.
  • Ensure UTL cargo procedures are followed.
  • Liaise with CSMs and warehouse coordinators to maximise cargo load.
  • Comply with any other reasonable requests


What you’ll need to bring:

  • Must have extensive cargo documentation processing experience.
  • Must have excellent customer service skills.
  • Must demonstrate self-motivation.
  • Experience of working in a standalone role and using own initiative.
  • Should have the ability to plan and prioritise workload.s
  • Should be able to work effectively to tight and flexible deadlines.
  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Should have experience of working to Service Level Agreements.

Working in an Airside role, to follow aviation security requirements, you will be required to hold a full Airside Security Pass. To obtain this we will need 5 years' full referencing history, with a Criminal Record Check.
