The part you’ll play

You will be required to accept customer calls for booking Air Freight for Airline, producing booking and allocation sheet, liaise with Coordinators and Ops supervisors to ensure smooth handling of Air India product. Full compliance with Company Security and H&S policies is mandatory.

  • Cargo Reservations taking bookings.
  • Communicating with customers via telephone and Email.
  • Supplying booking sheets and cargo flight plans to AI Desk after liaising with AI Co-ordinators.
  • Advising agents of post flights.
  • Sending Pre-Alerts for VAL/HUM /SPL Shipments.
  • Coordinating with Air India Desk to update bookings.
  • Helping AI Accounts & Decmar for CASS Queries.
  • Coordinating with AI Stores to forward Service Freight consignments.
  • Issuing Air Waybill Stocks to Cargo Agents
  • Cutting Airway Bills for General Cargo and Service Freight Shipments.
  • Co-ordinating release of ULD’s to Cargo Agents.
  • Entering FWB/FHL data and bookings into the AI Airline system.
  • Co-ordinating with Aircraft dispatcher.
  • Cover AI Coordinator duties in periods of absence.
  • Advising accounts of special spot rates given to customers to ensure correct billing.
  • Deliver a high quality customer service to all internal and external customers.
  • Adopt a proactive work ethic, planning ahead to anticipate and prevent handling issues.
  • Fully comply with all Company Regulations including Security and Health and Safety.
  • Training will be provided on AI and Internal computer systems.

What you’ll need to bring:

  • Must have AVSEC Security Level CO (old Level D) certification or higher.
  • Must have extensive cargo experience.
  • Must have excellent practical knowledge of Hermes.
  • Ability to plan and prioritise effectively imperative.
  • Ability to work effectively & efficiently to tight & flexible deadlines essential.
  • Full driving licence essential.

Working in an Airside role, to follow aviation security requirements, you will be required to hold a full Airside Security Pass. To obtain this we will need 5 years' full referencing history, with a Criminal Record Check.
