We currently have an exciting opportunity for an Operations Officer to join our fast paced Passenger Services team in Sydney

Principal Responsibilities
Key duties and tasks will include, but will not be restricted or limited to:
• Coordination of shift activities and aircraft turnarounds.
• Main communication point between all stakeholders.
• Prepare and distribute operational and movement reports.
• Prepare and provide all necessary documentation in preparation of aircrafts departures.
• Facilitate any activities for non-schedule aircrafts.
• Facilitate any activities for any disrupt situation including hotel accommodation etc.
• Monitor radio communication both ground radios and ground to air radios.
• File and storage of flight files and reports both manually and system related.
• Co-ordination of the pre-flight procedures to maintain the highest possible levels of service to client airlines.
• Monitor phone and radio communications including updating the flight information service. Convey and deliver flight documents between the aircraft and appropriate airport facilities.
• Production of all system documentation for each flight and send arrival, departure and post departure messages as per client airline requirements.
• Participate in training activities and conduct on the job training as the need arises.

Candidate requirements
• Sound knowledge of Airline / Ground handling environment.
• Understanding of airline systems including DCS (Departure Control Systems) and/or the ability to acquire new knowledge quickly.
• Knowledge of work-related processes and procedures (applicable to this role).
• Strong time Management skill.
• Proficiency in MS office (particular Excel and Outlook are essential).
• Good communication skills.
• High understanding levels of operational requirements.
• Multitasking.
• Demonstrated commitment to aviation safety.
• Strong numerical and analytical abilities.
• The ability to work accurately at pace whilst under pressure.
• Excellent communications/interpersonal skills.
• The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Previous experience in a similar role is preferred.
• Weight and Balance experience will be added advantage (Wide Body).
• Ability to read weather forecast.
