The part you’ll play

Reporting to the Passenger Services Shift Supervisor. Passenger Services Manager the Team Leader will be responsible for leading a team of professional and courteous check-in service agents, dealing with passengers and their baggage items and traveling requirements. Being the face of the company, a high level of customer service is required at all times. This role will require you to carry out duties at the check-in desk, surrounding area, the boarding gates and on or near aircraft.

  • Greeting and checking passenger documentation.
  • To check passengers in using a computer-based system, issuing boarding cards and baggage labels in accordance with the Airline(s) and Company (ASL) requirements.
  • To check passengers in using a manual system in the event of a computer failure.
  • Process passengers at the boarding gate, transfer desks or any other designated area.
  • Apply airline regulations which may involve charging excess baggage or upselling.
  • Adhere and apply strict security and safety regulations.
  • Effectively assist passengers with their experience travelling through the airport.
  • Able to lead and motivate the staff on shift.
  • Assist with training requirements as and when required.
  • Assist with communication between Ramp, OPS and flight crew as and when required  
  • Additional Duties: To carry out any reasonable request within the group or operate any equipment or facility when trained to do, to ensure a safe, secure, smooth and efficient service.

  • A good standard of verbal and written English.

  • Ability to work and deal with pressurised situations.
  • A good standard of literacy and numeracy.
  • Ability to work shifts in order to cover a 24hr operation, 7 days a week.
  • A team player.
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Ability to follow and act on instructions.
  • Able to demonstrate strong leadership qualities.

Working in an Airside role, to follow aviation security requirements, you will be required to hold a full Airside Security Pass. To obtain this we will need 5 years' full referencing history, with a Criminal Record Check.
