Menzies FLY (Find the Leader in You)

Menzies FLY is our new bespoke Leadership & Development programme for UK&I. FLY combines a Level 5 Institute of Leadership & Management (ILM) Diploma alongside bespoke in-house sessions delivered by our leaders, providing a Menzies context to the academic theory. Colleagues undertaking FLY are selected through the performance review process, identifying emerging talent within our current teams. FLY aims to create a sustainable leadership base within the business and gives valuable exposure to Cargo, Fuels and Ground Handling along with the opportunity to influence senior leaders.

Apprenticeships

Menzies Aviation has been running apprenticeship in some form in the UK since 2011. This has allowed our colleagues to upskill and progress their careers within the business. Since 2017 our apprenticeship offering has expanded and today we have a range of colleagues across the UK undertaking apprenticeships in Health & Safety, Business Improvement, HR, & Learning & Development to name few. 2021 will see us recruit our first apprentices into our Cargo business at London Heathrow in the warehouse and in business analytics. As the aviation sector recovers in the UK we are looking to expand the apprenticeship offering into aviation ground services.
