Reporting to the Head of Airside. This role will require the individual to carry out any Airside duties as documented in our Airside Supervisor job description. To manage the day-to-day operations of our Airside teams. You will be responsible for Managing resources to fulfil our service standards for our Customer Airlines. Monitor turnarounds via SMART audits, enter any accidents or incidents into MORSE providing detailed and accurate reports. You will ensure that our ground handling is delivered safely, on time and consistently in line with service level standards set for both on time and station performance. To influence and facilitate the consistent delivery of a “World Class” product to our Airline Customers.

Candidate requirements

  • Working knowledge of the Airside functions, GSE, Interior & Exterior Cleaning, Team Leader & BRS, support in peak periods as part of the team where required (subject to training).
  • Working knowledge of the Operations department. RSMS, DCS, Airbridges (subject to training), Chroma and any other relevant systems.
  • To consistently deliver the highest possible level of customer service.
  • Provide a detailed shift report at the end of each shift & email to relevant Management team.
  • Ensure a handover log is completed
  • Responsible for ensuring the airlines product is delivered consistently to demanding service level standards and on time performance targets to our customer airlines.
  • To be pro-active in all areas by forward planning and taking responsibility for the job in hand.
  • Responsible for managing the airside team to carry out all ramp, cargo, operations, presentation & bag-hall turnaround duties.
  • Delivering regular team briefings, company updates and station information.
  • Good working knowledge of Airlines and Airport Authorities.
  • Provide detailed information for any service failure for Ramp, Presentation, Operations & Bag-hall to the Head of Airside, liaising with all departments to ensure accurate information is gained before sending final report to the customer airline.
  • Monitor the safe and correct control of all resources on the Ramp, including sign sheets for radios, IPAD's, headsets and other relevant equipment.
  • Ensuring that daily audits take place in all areas of the operation including but not limited to: Aircraft turnaround, SLA's, Equipment Checks & Work Place Inspections.
  • To comply with all Airlines Ground Handling Regulations.
  • Ensuring that all staff are briefed with any read and signs issued.
  • Investigations / MORSE entries are completed in a timely manner.
  • To actively give support, guidance and encouragement to your work colleagues.
  • Conduct staff appraisals that are allocated by the Head of Airside.
  • Manage staff absence and timekeeping.
  • Fully comply with the Health & Safety at Work Act 1974 when carrying out your duties, ensuring safety is never compromised.
  • Conducting probationary reviews, coaching and developing staff through regular appraisals in line with company policies and procedures.
  • Ensure all staff fully understand that safety is the number one priority for the company.
  • To follow all processes involved in AAA & DGR Regulations.
  • To understand and operate all equipment effectively and correctly and in line with the relevant training given.

  • Airports Disruption Management Policy
  • Customer Service Promise
  • Communications Promise
  • Safeguard the health, safety and welfare of staff, customers and other visitors as required in full compliance with the Company's Health & Safety Policy.
  • To process in a professional and confident way any questions, queries or grievances
  • Any other reasonable duty as requested.
  • Adhere to the company uniform standards that are in place.
  • Adhere to the company absence management procedures that are in place.

 

Qualifications and Experience

  • Good verbal communication.
  • A full 5 year work/unemployment/education history.
  • Valid Passport
  • Proof of National Insurance
  • Proof of address
  • Full and valid UK Driving Licence
  • Criminal Record Check and Airside Security Clearance
