Role Purpose

The Baggage & Cabin Appearance agent will be responsible to load, unload and handle arrival, transit & departure baggage Support Baggage team to achieve safe, secure and on time flight departure and to ensure baggage delivery as per Agreed SLA's/KPIs.

This job will also entail clearing waste from aircraft seating areas, galleys and toilets. Tidy and replenish seat pocket material. Wipes clean all meal trays, overhead bins and windows. Following all the airline specific procedures.

What you will be doing

Remove rubbish from the aircraft ensuring the rubbish is disposed of as per SOP's
Tidy and replenish seat pocket material where necessary.
Wipe clean all meal trays, overhead bins and windows.
Wipe clean the emergency strip lighting along the aisle floor.
Wipe clean toilet and galley areas, including mirrors, floors and steel surfaces.
Replace linen where necessary including pillows and blankets and head covers.
Driving the cleaning trucks containing cleaning materials and waste trucks will be part of the responsibility for this role.

Handle (Load, unload & transport) baggage as instructed.
Assist the Baggage Team Leader or Supervisor in baggage reconciliation to ensure no unaccounted baggage is loaded in the aircraft.
Carry out baggage damage checks before loading or unloading of baggage.
Perform Aircraft loading, unloading, cleaning or cargo handling tasks as directed.

Qualifications and Experience

Education – minimum secondary level.
Minimum 6 months' experience within the aviation sector, ideally in airport ground handling
Previous airport ground Handling experience and knowledge is preferred.
Must be flexible and willing to work in shifts covering 24 x 7.
Must be reliable and punctual.
Customer and safety focused.
Self-motivated, disciplined, flexible attitude to change.
Good communication skills.
Should be able to read and write basic English.
Must be medically fit to work in airside.
