Cabin Cleaning – Lead and supervise baggage operation (Departure and Arrival) on shift, ensure the required reconciliation of baggage takes place in accordance with industry requirements and to ensure baggage is received and loaded based on airline schedules and company policies.

 

Cabin Cleaning - Lead and supervise teams of aircraft cabin cleaners in the cleaning of the interior of aircraft transiting, arriving or departing the airport. The work must be to exceptionally high standards for the comfort of passengers and strict adherence to hygiene and cleanliness is paramount.  Critical timelines are to be met at all times.  

Main accountabilities include:

 

Commercial and operational responsibilities

 

  • Be aware of all airlines individual requirements for baggage/cleaning in accordance with current SLA's.
  • Plan and allocate resources (manpower, equipment, etc) on a shift basis to meet workload demand and to ensure safe efficient flight handling.
  • Reporting all delays, incidents or accidents to your Supervisor or Deputy Supervisor.
  • Report any faults or irregularities with equipment, facilities or processes and/or action according to procedures within your remit.
  • Provide full cooperation with other departments that you come in contact with during operations to ensure the common goal of turning round aircraft is met in an efficient, professional and safe manner.
  • Ensure your team always wear the correct personal protection equipment when working.
  • Ensure a full security sweep of the aircraft is carried out and that no passengers have left on-board any personal belongings and of baggage areas to ensure all areas kept free of FOD.
  • Must be able to pass a pre-placement physical abilities test, hearing and vision tests

 

Functional responsibilities

  • Ensure your team have all the correct equipment and materials to accomplish the task, and that it is all serviceable.
  • Baggage – Individual airlines have different baggage commodities so build-up must be in accordance to airline requirements.
  • Cabin Cleaning - Individual airlines have different needs, but in general you are to ensure your team clean the following including business and first class seating areas: (1) seat cleaning, (2) seat pocket cleaning, (3) galley cleaning, (4) toilet cleaning and replenishment, (5) floor cleaning, (6) blanket management. (7) window cleaning, (3) stowage cleaning, and (8) cleaning of the cabin crew resting area.
  • Cabin Cleaning - Remove all waste and rubbish from the aircraft disposing of it in accordance with SOP's
  • Assist your supervisor in regular inventory checks on baggage and cleaning supplies, products and equipment to ensure no impact to operations.
  • Ensure your team comply with carrying out interior security procedures

Qualifications and Experience:

  • 2 years previous airport / aircraft cleaning experience and knowledge is highly recommended
  • Must be able to Read English.
  • Must be reliable and punctual with good organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Customer and safety focused.
  • Flexible and with the ability to adapt to changing priorities and situations quickly.
  • National driving licence
