Role Purpose

To lead by example, a Baggage Team ensuring rigorous standards of Health & Safety and delivering consistent high performance within the constraints of service level agreements and implement a continuous improvement program for your team. Maintain control and accountability for the operation on a shift basis. 

What you will be doing

  • Fully manage allocation of tasks and duties to baggage hall staff. 
  • Manage effective measurement systems to monitor the performance of your team.
  • Create and sustain a safe working environment and culture. Ensure all staff comply with the Health & Safety at Work Act 1974 and revisions
  • Communicate with relevant departments, airlines and airport authorities on baggage related issues.
  • Ensure that all staff comply in line with our airline operating procedures and with directives set by both DfT and CAA.

What we are looking for

  • Ability to drive through policies and procedures and always represent the Company in a professional manner. 
  • Ability to utilise planned resource to the full benefit of the baggage operation. 
  • Ability to communicate successfully at all levels, whilst leading and motivating the workforce. 
  • A good working knowledge of baggage related procedures for Airlines and Airport Authorities
  • A track record of delivering against key performance targets.
