Role Purpose

The Cargo Agent is responsible for the safe, efficient, and high-quality handling of cargo and mail within the freight area, in accordance with applicable procedures, regulations, and company standards. The role involves operational participation in various phases of the cargo flow, both indoors and outdoors, and contributes to the company's requirements for Security, Safety, Quality and Environmental Sustainability Compliance. 

What you will be doing

  • Receive, inspect, and dispatch cargo and mail, performing weight and volume checks as required. 
  • Load and unload cargo and mail in the freight terminal and at the aircraft side. Build, load, and secure pallets and containers according to airline standards. 
  • Safely receive, handle, and load Dangerous Goods in strict compliance with IATA regulations and airline-specific requirements. 
  • Verify and ensure cargo/mail is accurately sorted and allocated to the correct carrier and destination flight. 
  • Follow safety procedures, use personal protective equipment, report deviations, hazards, near misses, incidents, and accidents immediately.

What we are looking for

  • Driver's license and access to a car due to shift work
  • A forklift driver's license is desirable
  • Takes responsibility for own training.   
  • Contributes to a positive working environment.   
  • Proficient in Norwegian and English, both written and spoken.
