We currently have exciting opportunities for Cargo Flight Clerks at our Sydney Domestic Airport and/ or Matraville on a permanent full time and part-time basis to coordinate freight acceptance and delivery procedures whilst maintaining the highest possible levels of service and safety to customers.

Candidate requirements

  • Relief for team leader/supervisor when necessary.
  • Process export documentation. 
  • Ensure that Estimates and Finals are transmitted on time to carriers' requirements. 
  • Complete aircraft NOTOC.
  • Complete AVI checks.
  • Complete Dangerous goods checks.
  • Coordinate flight build up as per carriers' request.
  • Ensure special commodities are handled as required.
  • Ensure that held shipments are communicated to the builder.
  • Adhere to airline, customs, quarantine and airport requirements and procedures. 
  • Perform various administrative duties. 
  • Undertake projects as required.
  • Complete daily bond check of export racks.
  • Update units out on ULD out spreadsheet. Complete all SCM messages and airline system updates.
  • Update daily tallies of ULD totals so overstocks and understocks can be tracked.
  • Update all out to agents and request return of ULD's is completed in a timely manner.
  • Ensure that LUC requirements are being completed in accordance to carrier's requirements.
  • Daily ULD count check for damage and tag damaged ULD's/
  • Ensure that in the event of ULD overstock to airline requirements that arrangements are made to return the overstocked ULD's/
  • Ensure that if discrepancies between airline systems and physical stock are noted and that the carrier is notified and system is reconciled.
  • Reply to all customers' ULD requests and coordinate with others to ensure completion of the task.
  • Monitor and return of foreign ULD's with 48hrs of last ULD count.
  • Investigate missing unreported/missing ULD's.
  • Accept and process live animals according to airline requirements
  • Assist with reconciliation and breakdown of import freight
  • Assist with cross-check of manifests and preparation of export freight
  • Assist the Supervisor to monitor staff

  • Report any hazards, near misses, incidents, accidents or dangerous occurrences to their manager / supervisor, who will then follow the procedures contained in this manual.
  • Carry out work in accordance with information and training provided and any specific workplace health and safety rules or procedures.
  • Fully understand the company health and safety policy.
  • Attend training courses as may be arranged by the Company.
  • Engage with MORSE and follow our code principles.

 

Qualifications and Experience

  • Possess strong Cargo system and Microsoft Office Suite skills.
  • Possess customer service experience.
  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Be willing and able to work shift work.
  • Apply a detailed knowledge of company policy and procedure.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills.
  • High level attention to detail and numerical ability.
  • Working knowledge of operating procedures, requirements and systems.
  • Dangerous Goods awareness and handling requirements.
  • Security awareness.
  • Hold and maintain valid Cat 2 ADA.
  • Hold and maintain valid state drivers licence.
  • Hold and maintain valid ASIC.
