Role Purpose Document

To process and register all import and export airwaybills in the Cargo Handling System, its partners and customers. Ensure that all guidelines and manuals are followed to achieve the highest possible quality. Report all deviations and trace any irregularities. Respond to inquiries from both external and internal customers, whether by phone or in person, in a professional and accurate manner.

 

Role Purpose Planning

The position holder will, together with Duty Manager, serve as the operational coordinator within their unit and shift. The Cargo Office Agent will act as a subject matter expert, providing support and guidance to employees. 

 

What you will be doing Document

  • Register all import and export air waybills. 
  • Carry out all required tasks in Cargo Handling Systems. 
  • Ensure all agreed deadlines and routings are followed and make corrections in case of deviations. 
  • Perform necessary tracing of all shipments in the event of irregularities. 
  • Verify that all necessary documents for freight release are accurate. 

 

What you will be doing Planning

  • Hold overall responsibility for manifesting (export, transfer, import cargo). 
  • Process and register all import/export air waybills into the Cargo Handling System. 
  • Ensure the accurate processing of documentation in all areas in accordance with operational procedures, handling briefs, and Customers' Service Level Agreements. 
  • Perform dangerous goods inspections per DGR acceptance guidelines and airline checklists. 
  • Liaise with agents (freight forwarders/Consignee) to resolve irregularities and communicate with airlines to rebook ready for carriage shipments.

What we are looking for

  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience. 
  • Proficiency in written and spoken English and Norwegian
  • Ability to work independently and with solid computer literacy. 
  • Shows ability and willingness for professional development.   
  • In-depth knowledge of the cargo business and a thorough understanding of MWC's goals and strategies.
