 The part you’ll play

Based in the operations office you will plan and supervise the MW1 operation for the handling of our customers’ cargo and mail. Ensuring the highest quality of service is achieved and all freight handling procedures are followed. Planning and motivating staff resources to achieve Customer SLA’s. Supervision of the main operations office will be part of the role where required.

  • Ensure the accurate processing of freight documentation in accordance with all customer airlines operational procedures, Handling Briefs, and Service Level Agreements. Including special handling e.g. HUM, DGR, VUN, VAL, Radioactive Material.
  • Ensure effective communication with all Operation parties to ensure all relative information and updates relating to all customer airlines products are up to date.
  • Keep the Cargo Service Manager appraised of operational situation regularly.
  • Attend meetings with Customers and Senior Management when required.
  • Ensure Dangerous Goods checks are carried out correctly and adhere to IATA and carrier regulations.
  • Monitor Bond Check reconciliation, ensure correct sign off and supply airline customer results.
  • Monitor Transhipment Cargo deliveries to onward carriers.
  • Monitor and complete NCTS entries.
  • Ensure all Regulatory Authority legislation is adhered to by all staff at all times.
  • Ensure all detail of interest to MA and customers provided promptly.
  • Ensure that all carrier specific requirements are handled correctly in accordance with the appropriate procedures.
  • To monitor Security process, including x-ray processing and ETD requirements for airline product. Completion of security audits where required.
  • Adopt a proactive work ethic planning ahead to anticipate and prevent handling issues.
  • Support, develop and provide counselling and training to all staff within company HR policy and procedures.
  • Safeguard the health, safety and welfare of staff, customers, contractors and other visitors / 3rd parties as required in full compliance with the Company Health & Safety policy.

 What you’ll need to bring:

  • Must have cargo documentation processing experience.
  • Have excellent customer service skills.
  • Must be a good leader/motivator.
  • Should have the ability to plan and prioritise.
  • Should be able to meet deadlines in a timely manner.
  • Should have experience in working to Service Level Agreements.
  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Working in an Airside role, to follow aviation security requirements, you will be required to hold a full Airside Security Pass. To obtain this we will need 5 years' full referencing history, with a Criminal Record Check.
