The part you'll play

Oversee all aspects of the cargo handling operating system (Hermes) to ensure maximum productivity from all employees.  Ensure all employees have appropriate training and competence on the system, deliver refresher training as required.  Oversee all performance statistics and data for the operation and produce data and productivity reports to support the business as required.

  • Administration of Hermes cargo handling system ensure system is up to date and all records are clear and the system is being used to its maximum capability.
  • Responsibility for access control into and out of the facility.
  • Responsible for facilitating all Hermes Training, coaching, on job and classroom training to ensure all employees use the system for maximum productivity.
  • Review and implement Hermes automation solutions as part of the system development
  • Oversight of Hermes utilisation from all employees.
  • Identifying and implementing system improvements in consultation with all users
  • Data analysis and operational reporting to be incorporated into internal reviews and customer reports
  • Revenue optimisation and cost management programme overview
  • Project support as required
  • Key account management support with data and KPI reporting

What you'll need to bring:

  • Preferred minimum of 5 years' experience in Cargo operations
  • Knowledge and experience of data analysis and KPI reporting with ability to draw correlations between operational data and performance metrics
  • Experience of facilitating on job and classroom-based learning
  • Experience of Hermes systems would be an advantage 
  • Good customer service skills 
  • Knowledge and experience of cargo operations, compliance, security, safety and cargo commercial activity.
  • Industry qualifications and training such as Dangerous Goods Handling, Security awareness, Live animal regulations, special product handing and outsize cargo handling.

Working in an Airside role, to follow aviation security requirements, you will be required to hold a full Airside Security Pass. To obtain this we will need 5 years' full referencing history, with a Criminal Record Check.
