The part you'll play

To conduct the removal and refitting of passenger seat covers IAW technical modification data and LOPA Drawings.

  • To be carried out in accordance with company operating procedures and to the specified standard.
  • Your main responsibility will involve fitting of carpets amongst a wide range of aircraft types. You will be fitting carpets both in the passenger area as well as the flight deck.
  • To ensure the removal and refitting of carpets is completed in accordance with the technical drawing.
  • Working as a member of a team working to tight time deadlines.
  • To ensure the correct seat covers are present to conduct the Job.
  • To ensure quality control procedures are being carried out in accordance with company and airline procedures.
  • To ensure the removal and refitting of seat covers is completed in accordance with the technical drawing and modification requirements.
  • To be able to read technical drawings to ensure part numbered seat covers are fitted at the correct locations.
  • During times of non-activity assist other Departments as directed by the Duty Manager.
  • To be trained and available for De-icing Operations at all times as a core function of the Business.

What you'll need to bring:

  • Basic engineering knowledge.
  • Previous experience working within a manufacturing or upholstery industry is an advantage, although full on the job training will be given.
  • Ability to read and manufacture work to engineering drawings.
  • Computer literate and ability to produce detailed reports and handover documents on workshop and other company related activities.
  • Ability to work well as part of a team, and independently.
  • Ability to consistently produce work to a high standard.
  • An awareness of basic safety.
  • Ability to work under strict time constraints.
  • Ability to be flexible with regard to hours of work/overtime.

Working in an Airside role, to follow aviation security requirements, you will be required to hold a full Airside Security Pass. To obtain this we will need 5 years' full referencing history, with a Criminal Record Check.
