Role Purpose

Follow up on all deviations in the bonded warehouse in accordance with regulatory requirements (Customs, Food Safety Authority, etc.).

Act as point of contact for all customs-related matters, ensuring compliance with Norwegian Customs laws and guidelines.

Be an active operational member of the “Customs & ADM Team” and ensure follow-up of all deviations in line with regulatory requirements.

Stay informed about all matters related to Customs and ensure compliance with current demands relevant to Cargo operations at Menzies World Cargo (MWC).

Ensure implementation and compliance with any procedural changes from Customs (e.g., EU Digitalization, ECS 2 / ICS 2).

Be part of the team responsible for tracing shipments in the terminal, with particular follow-up on agents/forwarders and airlines under handling agreements.

Ensure that tracing and reporting are carried out in accordance with applicable MWC procedures. 

What you will be doing

  • Understand all aspects of customs-related operations and ensure compliance with applicable cargo regulations.
  • Provide high-quality customer service to both internal and external customers. Address and resolve irregularities.  
  • Ensure that Customs requirements for cargo operations are reflected in daily operations at MWC.
  • Ensure that all transit shipments are cleared through TVINN according to current procedures.
  • Follow up on updates in GCT (Goods Control Terminal).

What we are looking for

  • TVINN certification – trained by Norwegian Customs.
  • Customer experience and strong collaboration skills.
  • Broad experience in freight and documentation handling. 
  • Good knowledge of all areas of cargo operations, with at least 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Ability to work closely with other departments, customers, and regulatory authorities.
