Role Purpose

The Director – Commercial Sales (Ground Support Equipment) will lead the execution of the commercial growth strategy for the GSE portfolio, driving revenue growth, market expansion, nd increased market share across North America.

This role will support the Vice President - – Technical Services (GSE) in unlocking the full potential of our network of 55 GSE maintenance workshops across North America, helping transform a strong operational capability into a scalable, externally revenue-generating business serving both internal and third-party aviation customers.

The successful candidate will bring strong commercial leadership, business development capability, and stakeholder influence to grow key accounts, win new business, and build strategic partnerships. Working closely with the Vice President– Technical Services (GSE) and cross-functional leaders, this role will help strengthen market positioning, expand service offerings, and deliver sustainable, long-term value.

 

What you will be doing

  • Lead execution of the commercial strategy for the GSE portfolio, translating strategic priorities into clear sales plans, pipeline activity, and revenue outcomes
  • Unlock the commercial potential of the GSE workshop network by scaling third-party service offerings and expanding external revenue streams
  • Provide clear reporting and commercial insight to the Vice President – Technical Services (GSE) on performance, risks, pipeline health, and growth opportunities
  • Drive profitable growth through new business development, strategic account expansion, contract renewals, and penetration of priority markets
  • Identify and prioritise high-value market opportunities across airports and customer segments, recommending focus areas and growth actions to the Vice President - Technical Services (GSE)

What we are looking for

  • A degree in Business, Finance, Engineering or a related field
  • Proven experience in a commercial leadership role, with accountability for revenue growth, business development, and market expansion
  • Deep understanding of Ground Support Equipment and/or ground handling operations, with prior experience in a mechanical engineering or technical environment within aviation
  • A demonstrated ability to translate operational capability into a commercial offering, identifying and scaling new revenue opportunities
  • Strong track record in sales, business development, and key account management, with experience managing complex, strategic customer relationships
  • Well-developed commercial and financial acumen, including pricing strategy, performance management, and budgeting
