Role Purpose

The role is a key business partnering role within the organisation with strong visibility of the Regional Senior Management Team. The FP&A Manager leads budgeting and forecasting for the Oceania region, as well as completing weekly EBIT flash and internal management reports with the assistance of the management accounting team.  Over time the role will be involved in customer pricing responses.  Improve and streamline existing reports and processes.

What you will be doing

  • Lead annual budget and periodic re-forecasting processes.
  • Complete bi-monthly EBIT and management KPI reports.
  • Weekly operational hours vs budget monitoring.
  • Develop working knowledge of key systems and measures and design new processes and reports to improve information dissemination and analysis.
  • Modernise local budget and forecast models.
  • Oversee and monitor capital expenditure.  Including working with business unit managers on preparation of investment approval papers and maintenance of capex clearing account, ensuring capitalization of spend on a timely manner.
  • Gain an understanding of and work on customer pricing proposals.
  • Support growth of business through acquisitions by assisting with reviews of the financial reports and forecast of target entities and assisting with roll out of group systems and processes following acquisition.
  • Maintain data integrity within the OneStream consolidation system.  Responsible for updating new stations, business units, etc.
  • Assist with the VP Finance with monthly monitoring of financial targets, KPIs and budget variance analysis.
  • Support and share knowledge with the Management Accounting team and provide ad hoc assistance as required.

What we are looking for

  • Tertiary qualification in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, Business or a related discipline, with CPA or equivalent professional accounting qualification.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in financial planning and analysis, management accounting, commercial finance or a related discipline, preferably within a complex, multi-site or operational environment.
  • Demonstrated experience leading annual budgeting, forecasting and financial planning processes, with strong financial modelling and analytical capability.
  • Proven experience preparing and analysing management reports, financial KPIs, EBIT performance, forecasts and budget variances, with the ability to translate financial information into meaningful business insights.
  • Strong commercial acumen with demonstrated ability to partner with operational and senior management teams to support business performance and informed decision-making.
  • Experience monitoring operational performance against budget, including labour costs, operating hours, capital expenditure and other key financial and operational measures.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop, improve and streamline financial models, reporting processes and management information to enhance business insight and decision-making.
  • Strong understanding of capital expenditure processes, financial controls and data integrity, with experience in preparing investment papers in collaboration with business unit managers.
  • Experience supporting commercial pricing, acquisitions, financial due diligence or other business growth initiatives would be highly regarded.
  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills, with strong attention to detail and the ability to identify trends, investigate variances and develop practical recommendations.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and relationship-building skills, with the ability to communicate complex financial information clearly to both finance and non-finance stakeholders.
  • Highly developed organisational, planning and time management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet tight reporting deadlines.
  • Strong commitment to continuous improvement, collaboration, financial governance, data accuracy and compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Experience with PowerBI, OneStream and SUN system preferred.
