Role Purpose

The Global Resource Optimisation and Planning specialist is a strategic support role, responsible for driving efficient, scalable, and cost-effective solutions and standards for workforce management across our operations globally. This role drives operational excellence through data-led planning, continuous improvement, and cross-functional collaboration—ensuring the organisation meets service delivery targets while maintaining safety, compliance, and employee engagement.

 

What you will be doing

  • Develop and implement a global resource optimisation strategy aligned with operational, financial, and customer service goals.
  • Drive improvements in equipment utilisation, turnaround efficiency, and shift scheduling.
  • Introduce standardised KPIs and dashboards to monitor performance, productivity, and cost per turnaround.
  • Promote automation and digitalisation in resource scheduling, shift planning and the access and availability for our frontline workers to view and request changes digitally.
  • Chair our ‘Global Planning Steering Groups' to establish governance frameworks for resource planning and effective change management for deployment of tools and processes, across all regions and business units.
  • Ensure compliance with labour laws, union agreements, and safety regulations in all planning activities.

What we are looking for

  • 10+ years of experience in ground handling leadership, aviation operations, or logistics, with a strong focus on resource planning and optimisation.
  • Proven experience in leading large-scale operational planning functions, operational strategy and execution.
  • Strong understanding of airport operations, turnaround processes, and ground support equipment.
  • Experience with planning tools such as INFORM, Work bridge, Polaris or bespoke aviation scheduling platforms.
  • Ability to implement organisational improvements to drive performance.
  • Analytical insight and vision to develop more efficient & effective operating models.
