Role Purpose

The Group Financial Accountant will be responsible for various aspects of financial reporting, both internal and external. This role will liaise with senior management, including Group Financial Controller and Head of FP&A. The role forms an important part of a strong team and is central to our future development and ambitious business plans. The role brings opportunities to progress both within Group Finance or in other parts of the business.

The role is ideally suited for a first move out of practice or for an accountant with industry experience looking to experience a dynamic commercial environment with opportunities to develop their careers. The successful candidate will play a highly visible role in the success of the group's audit process, liaising with senior members of the external audit team, in addition to the statutory audits of the Group's UK subsidiaries.

 

What you will be doing

  • Active participation in Group month end consolidation process and reporting to parent Group finance team including preparation of consolidation adjustments and review of Group P&L & Balance Sheet.
  • Preparation and analysis of group consolidated Cash Flow reports and forecasts
  • Leading preparation and submission of consolidated Group reporting packs to parent company including disclosures required in Group financial statements prepared under IFRS.
  • Preparation of weekly, monthly and quarterly group performance reports and analysis
  • Review of monthly financial results and KPIs, checking data integrity and querying variances, conducting reviews with regions, identifying trends, challenges and actions needed
  • Lead preparation and submission of statutory accounts for subsidiaries in the UK.

What we are looking for

  • A qualified accountant (CA/ACA or equivalent), with up to 2 years post qualified experience.
  • High level of technical accounting knowledge of IFRS required.
  • Excellent working knowledge of Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to communicate confidently at all levels across the group, particularly with senior and executive management both verbally and in drafting papers.
  • High levels of drive and initiative with the ability to problem solve, think analytically and challenge current practice.
