Role Purpose

The Group SeMS and ERP Manager is responsible for the design, implementation, governance, and continual improvement of the Group Security Management System (SeMS) and Emergency Response Programme (ERP) in accordance with ICAO Annex 17, ICAO Annex 19, ICAO Doc 10121 (Aviation Security Management Systems), and applicable national aviation security regulations.
The role provides independent, objective assurance and expert guidance to ensure security risks are systematically identified, assessed, mitigated, and monitored across all business units, airports, and business lines.
The post holder acts as the custodian of the Group SeMS and ERP frameworks, ensuring consistent global application, regulatory compliance, effective preparedness for security events and emergencies, and continuous improvement in security performance and organisational resilience.

 

What you will be doing

  • Own, maintain, and continually enhance the Group Security Management System in line with ICAO Annex 17, Annex 19, and ICAO Doc 10121.
  • Ensure alignment between SeMS, ERP, SMS, MORSE, Quality systems, and Operational Standards.
  • Own and govern the Group Emergency Response Programme, ensuring it is integrated with SeMS, Business Continuity, and Crisis Management arrangements.
  • Establish requirements for emergency preparedness, response capability, recovery planning, and post event review.
  • Act as the Group focal point for SeMS and ERP matters with regulators, airline customers, airports, and authorities.
  • Support regulatory audits, inspections, and compliance activities related to aviation security and emergency response.
  • Participate in Group Risk Review Boards, Insight forums, crisis management structures, and governance meetings.

What we are looking for

  • Recognised qualification in aviation security, security risk management, or related discipline.
  • Strong working knowledge of ICAO Annex 17, ICAO Annex 19, and ICAO Doc 10121.
  • Demonstrable experience managing or overseeing aviation security management systems at a regional or group level.
  • Proven experience in security risk assessment, emergency response planning, and incident management.
  • Experience engaging with regulators, airport authorities, and airline customers on security matters.
