Role Purpose

To assist the GSE Manager in the day to day running of the GSE team. Improve and sustain a high level of GSE operational performance, ensuring equipment is safe and fit for purpose.
Will be responsible for the day-to-day coordination of equipment through our GSE suppliers and reporting faults. Liaising with all departments and suppliers to ensure that GSE is returning back into the operation as well as ensure we meet our SLA service levels and maintenance requirements.

What you will be doing

  • Provide comprehensive administrative assistance to the GSE department, including managing correspondence, scheduling meetings, and handling telephone enquiries.
  • Prepare and circulate reports, memoranda, and other documents as required by the GSE Manager or other team members.
  • Maintain accurate records of equipment usage, maintenance schedules, and inventory.
  • Input and update data related to GSE operations, including equipment logs, maintenance records, and compliance documentation.
  • Assist in the preparation and submission of reports, ensuring accuracy and completeness of information.

What we are looking for

  • GCSEs or equivalent; an NVQ or BTEC in business administration, logistics, or a related field is preferred.
  •  Previous administrative or clerical experience, ideally within an aviation, logistics, or technical environment.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and experience with data entry.
  •  Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience in an aviation or ground support equipment environment.
  • Familiarity with asset management or maintenance tracking software.
  • Knowledge of basic safety and compliance standards related to ground support equipment.
  •  Working Conditions:
  • Primarily office-based with occasional visits to operational areas.
  • Regular working hours with occasional need for flexibility based on operational demands.
  • Potential exposure to airport operational environments, including noise and outdoor weather conditions.
