Role Purpose

The role is responsible to supervise and guide the team to manage GSE maintenance workshop, stores and facilities effectively ensuring on time service delivery standards. Furthermore, this role is responsible to ensure compliance as per global best practices stipulated by client airlines, ISAGO and local regulatory authorities.

 

What you will be doing

  • Supervise activities of assigned personnel in the ground services equipment; allocate jobs to team including craftsmen, general labor activities and provide necessary technical and operational instructions
  • Monitor work sites - industrial and workshop locations; track work progress, identify resource requirements and resolve issues to ensure work completion as per schedule
  • Inspect all work performed by craftsmen, including painting, carpentry, masonry and welding, to ensure conformity to craft standard and operational requirements
  • Liaise with concerned departments including ramp operations, cargo team, operations control center and outside agencies to determine priorities and ensure resolution of issues for timely completion of work.
  • Ensure proper storage and availability of tools, equipment, spare parts and other material; initiate requisitions when needed and arranges repair & maintenance of craft tools, electrical or other power tools

What we are looking for

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering
  • Minimum 3 years of experience at supervisory level in maintenance workshop in aviation industry
  • Effective communication, interpersonal skills and timely decision making
  • Leadership as well as team-building skills along with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and local language as indicated.
  • Knowledge of GSE maintenance Procedures
