Role Purpose

The Head of E-Commerce will lead the transformation of our cargo and freight operations through innovative digital platforms, enhancing customer experience and operational efficiency. You will develop and implement strategies that position Menzies Aviation & Air Menzies International as a leader in e-commerce-driven cargo solutions, driving revenue growth and customer satisfaction in a competitive global market.

This role will play a critical role in driving Menzies Aviation's strategic growth by fostering and strengthening relationships with shippers and consumers, shaping and implementing strategic initiatives, and serving as a key service solutions provider for cross border ecommerce customers and our airline partners, contributing to the development and execution of our global freight & cargo eCommerce strategy.

This role can be based in either London, Dubai, Singapore or Hong Kong.

 

What you will be doing

  • Develop and execute the organisation's e-commerce strategy aligned with business objectives and industry trends.
  • Identify growth opportunities through digital transformation, automation, and customer-centric solutions in the cargo & cross border ecommerce space.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to integrate e-commerce into the company's overall commercial and operational strategy.
  • Oversee the development and optimisation of tools and digital platforms for cargo booking, screening, tracking, custom clearance, delivery and service management.
  • Ensure seamless integration with existing systems, such as warehouse management, AMI´s TM and airlines
  • Evaluate and implement innovative technologies, including AI, blockchain, and IoT to enhance the e-commerce experience.
  • Foster strong relationships with key stakeholders, including airlines, freight forwarders, eCommerce platforms and logistics partners.
  • Leverage analytics to understand customer behaviour, optimise pricing strategies, and forecast demand.

What we are looking for

  • Degree in Business, Technology, or a related field.
  • Proven track record of leadership in e-commerce or digital transformation, preferably in the logistics, aviation, cargo or freight forwarding industries.
  • Proven record of growth in the ecommerce arena
  • Strong understanding of cross border e-commerce, freight forwarding and cargo operations and the aviation supply chain.
  • Expertise in integration of emerging technologies and customer / supplier onboarding.
  • Analytical mindset with experience using data to drive decision-making and strategy.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Knowledge of industry standards, including IATA regulations and e-AWB (Electronic Air Waybill) processes.
