Role Purpose

The role is responsible for supporting the Assistant HR Manager in all aspects of the HR agenda and in the delivery of all HR activities and operational services.

The role holder will be the primary point of contact for the business, particularly for day-to-day issues and will be responsible for resolving less complex issues and providing support to the HR Manager through supporting the implementation of HR strategy and processes, policies and procedures in alignment with MASIL and local requirements. 

 

 Main Accountabilities include:  

  • Liaise with Iraqi Airways for all HR operations.
  • Ensure full compliance with the recruitment process, policies and procedures
  • Follow through with all candidates during onboarding
  • Prepare all related onboarding paperwork
  • Conduct the HR induction process with new hires
  • Analyse and process leave and return to work
  • Investigate and answer claims concerning unemployment
  • Investigate and answer correspondence related to unemployment or discrimination
  • Assist with employee queries, employee recognition distribution and creation of documents
  • Assist with general administration,
  • Filing of all station documentation
  • File retention and audits
  • Prepare letters and documents
  • Responsible for keeping a tracking on all HR records/data.
  • Assist in scheduling interviews
  • Perform and process the standard HR related requests from employees.
  • Manage administration related to leave, attendance and shift patterns.
  • Maintain and manage accurate and timely data and employee records
  • Other duties as assigned

  • Attend training courses as may be arranged by the Company.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Operational planning experience.
  • At least 2 years of experience in generalist HR roles
  • Sound knowledge of the Iraq Labour Law
  • Excellent organisational, planning, and administrative skills and a good eye for detail
  • Experience of working in a busy, sometimes high-pressure environment.
  • Experience and knowledge of aviation services, in particular within a service delivery environment.
  • Ability to communicate successfully at all levels.
  • Aptitude to develop the role as required to embrace new IT systems.
  • Development of communication and diplomacy skills used to direct/persuade/influence others.
  • Aptitude to work as both part of a team and also independently.
  • Ability to uphold confidentiality.
  • Strong Customer service skills and experience
  • fluent in the English Language (read, write and listen).
