About the job

To assist with the day to day running of some AMI Key Accounts by providing quotes, bookings and all customer service tasks, including post flights etc, whilst also working closely with the Sales Team. Emphasis will be on building and maintaining solid relationships with existing and potential customers, recognized as “Key Accounts” and working towards Sales Target set against the specified accounts. The role is office based LHR, but will also involve some travelling and potentially some overnight requirements to visit these “Key Accounts” along with the Sales Team. Flexible working hours may also be required.

Main accountabilities include:

• To be the main point of contact for any inbound sales enquires (web or telephone) to qualify and convert into new business opportunities.
• To find mutual satisfaction resolution to all queries raised by a portfolio of customers and to secure long-term account retention.
• To accurately investigate any trends in service issues, finding practical solutions to prevent repeat occurrences and make continual improvements.
• To have a thorough understanding of our customers' business and their distribution objectives; to identify potential service improvements or business leads.

Location

This role may be based at our Crawley or Manchester offices.

Requirements

Qualifications and Experience:
• Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
• Ability to perform within a pressurised environment.
• Good time management and prioritisation skills.
• MS office skills – Word and Excel would be an advantage.
• Good interpersonal skills.
• Industry knowledge is essential, preferably with knowledge of Imports and Exports within Cargo and Express.
• Must be proactive and forward thinking.
• Good attention to detail.
