What are we offering?

We are offering a 6-12 month Operational Support Internship which will give you a fantastic insight into the inner working of our European operation and what the aviation industry can offer you in your career. You will obtain vast amounts of valuable experience from a fast paced aviation environment, and work on some complex operational projects which will have a huge impact on the success of our business. You will learn more about the culture and values of Menzies Aviation and the importance of the operational teams impact when it comes to wider businesses success

This position will sit within the regional Risk team based in our Amsterdam Schiphol location. You will be assigned a mentor, who will guide you through your exciting journey here at Menzies Aviation and will support you with the projects that you will be assigned.

You will assist and support the region in achieving their responsibilities in respect of operational support, quality assurance and compliance. You will also liaise directly with station and regional management to maintain and enhance management systems, develop controls and protocols to ensure Menzies business locations remain fully compliant with internal and external standards.

You will be assigned multiple projects / workstreams, develop regional Safety & Quality Review Boards packs, airline quarterly review board packs, support with ad-hoc requests and support Stations / Regional Risk teams with day-to-day tasks

We will welcoming our successful candidates into our first intake in April 2023.


What we are looking for?

We are looking for individuals who want to further their knowledge of the ground handling sector and to see the complex inner workings of an international aviation organisation. As this role will be supporting a global business, we are looking for individuals who are interested in complex operational projects and enjoy working with multiple stakeholders at all levels.

If you are:

  • Currently studying / recently graduated an Aviation related degree or similar
  • Confident in written and spoken English, other languages considered an advantage
  • Passionate about aviation
  • Interested in data & systems management
  • Analytical, structured, detailed orientated
  • PC literate (Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint)
  • Good with interpersonal skills
  • Committed and disciplined
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage priorities
  • Ability to work in a team and use own initiative
  • Looking for a future career with aviation
