The part you’ll play

  • You will be responsible for a safe and secure aircraft from arrival on stand to its departure.
  • Maintain and manage a safe working environment for all ground staff, third party suppliers and customers.
  • Ensure that any national regulatory security, health and safety standards are being adhered too.
  • Communicate effectively with aircraft crew and all ground staff in accordance with laid down procedures and coaching received.
  • Gather input, process and disseminate all data necessary for success of the operation.
  • Overseeing and co-coordinating the safe unloading and loading of the aircraft.
  • Complete accurate flight documentation and reports, before and after flights for airlines and store, present documents appropriately.
  • Foster and enhance the relationships between ground staff, airline crew and contracted service providers to deliver consistent outstanding customer service.
  • Responsible for ensuring airline requirements are delivered consistently to demanding service level standards and on-time performance targets.
  • Actively monitor all personnel engaged in the handling of the aircraft.
  • Be prepared to challenge any breach of procedure.
  • Promote a positive safety and on-time performance culture.
  • Challenge traditionalism within the department and also the airport as a whole, encourage innovative ideas from all ground staff.

What you’ll need to bring:

  • Well organized, meticulous attention to detail.
  • Proven ability to work on own initiative to specific deadlines.
  • Demonstrable ability to lead by example, coach and support staff.
  • Ability to remain calm and work under a pressured environment.
  • Team player with strong interpersonal skills.
  • Experience in weight and balance desirable but not essential as training will be provided.
  • Driving Licence essential.

Working in an Airside role, to follow aviation security requirements, you will be required to hold a full Airside Security Pass. To obtain this we will need 5 years' full referencing history, with a Criminal Record Check.
