Role Purpose

The Operations Manager is responsible for the overall organisation, management, safety and operational performance of the aviation fuel handling operations at Athens International Airport.
The role ensures contractual compliance, HSSE excellence, operational efficiency, financial control, and effective leadership of the local team while maintaining strong relationships with customers, airport authorities and external stakeholders.

What you will be doing

  • Responsible for the organisation, management, safety and operational performance of the operation.
  • Responsible for the quality of contractual services.
  • Develop, contribute to and agree on service delivery standards both internally and externally
  • Monitor and report performance against these standards, ensuring corrective actions are taken to consistently meet customer requirements.
  • Ensure accurate and timely reporting of incidents, accidents and near misses in accordance with customer and company requirements.
  • Act as operational safety manager and emergency manager

What we are looking for

  • Knowledge of legislative provisions and Airport Company specific regulatory framework.
  • Proper understanding and use of performance manuals.
  • Fluency in Greek and good knowledge of English (first certificate or equivalent).
  • Demonstrable experience in safety, health and environmental management.
  • Significant experience in an operational aviation fuel management position.
  • Demonstrable experience in developing and maintaining effective working relationships, particularly with business partners, airport authorities and suppliers.
