Role Purpose

Deliver high performance standards around all aspects of Passenger Services and customer processing, meeting the requirements of our Airlines and maintaining health and safety and overall good working practices in accordance with company policies and procedures at all times.

What you will be doing

  • Passengers check in, manual and DCS.
  • Receive ticket, passport, check documents for validity and accept or reject documents.
  • Accept & weigh bags, accept or reject, if reject discuss with passenger (re cost of excess baggage etc.).
  • Process checks in, tag baggage, arrange seating & issue boarding passes, ensure compliance with security requirements.
  • Customer service – assessing the needs of the customer.
  • Check serviceability of equipment.
  • Use multi airline check in systems.
  • Arrange & remove tensile barriers and carpets.
  • Push WCHR's, (wheelchair passengers), assist MAAS, (meet and assist), passengers on arrival and departure.
  • Take PIR's (Property Irregularity reports) for all carriers, manual and system, clear baggage through CIQ (Customs, Immigration & Quarantine), record OHD (on-hand) baggage details, and action system tag trace.
  • Set up & operate as gate staff using boarding control systems, manual & DCS for aerobridge & bus remote operations, check passports; process transit passengers as per carrier procedures; monitor cabin baggage as required; check serviceability of equipment.
  • Set up, close down & stock check in counters.
  • Record (written or electronic) flight data and file reports into flight files
  • Duties as directed by Managers & Supervisors within skills base.
  • Operate aerobridge & links.
  • Liaise with client airline staff.
  • Be current in Dangerous Goods Awareness.
  • Observe WHS and security requirements.
  • Participate in training activities and conduct on the job training as the need arises within skills base.
  • Operate as turnaround staff - prepare for arrival of aircraft with WCHR and MAAS requirements, meet aircraft, de-board and board crew, ensure preparedness of cleaners, engineers and caterers, monitor progress of same.
  • Operate and responsible for recording of flight data.
  • Filing reports into flight files
