We are looking for motivated hard workers to work as part of a team delivering high-performance standards around all aspects of baggage and cargo handling, meeting the requirements of our customers and maintaining health and safety and overall good working practices in accordance with company policies and procedures at all times. 

What will you be doing:  

  • Carry out daily inspections of your vehicle ensuring that it remains operational to meet service needs at all times
  • Report any faults or irregularities with equipment, facilities or processes to the appropriate management.
  • Must be able to remain flexible.
  • Must be able to pass a pre-placement physical abilities test, hearing and vision tests
  • Operating safely at all times the equipment allocated to you on that day and in adherence to company policies and standard operating procedures for that type of equipment.
  • Ensure that you have received training and certification to operate that type of vehicle. Training will be provided for operation of vehicle type also airfield driver training.    
  • Carrying out a thorough 360 daily inspection check before operating the vehicle.
  • Cooperating with all departments when required in delivering great customer service.
  • Communicating effectively with other airside services.
  • Be aware at all times of security according to company policies and also airfield regulations and requirements.
  • On-load and off-load baggage manually or mechanically, in accordance with the relevant training received.
  • Carry out area hazard checks.
  • Carry out aircraft inspections.
  • Carry out Towing, Pushback & Head-set duties, including communication with the flight deck, in accordance with the relevant training received.
  • Operate position and remove all relevant company GSE required for our customer airlines, in a safe and efficient manner, in accordance with the relevant training received.
  • Adhere to company uniform standards that are in place.
  • Adhere to company absence reporting procedures that are in place.
  • Any other duty allocated by the Team Leader, Supervisor or member of the management team.

 

Functional responsibilities:

  • Undertake all relevant baggage and cargo sortation duties in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Carry out ERA hazard checks.
  • Carry out aircraft inspections.
  • Carry out equipment inspections.
  • Carry out Head-set duties, including communication with the flight deck, in accordance with the relevant training received.
  • Operate position and remove company equipment, in a safe and efficient manner, in accordance with the relevant training received Reporting all delays, incidents and accidents to your supervisor.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Previous airport ramp experience and knowledge is highly recommended
  • Must be able to speak English and write basic English.
  • Must be reliable and punctual with organizational skills.
  • Customer and safety focused.
  • Flexible and with the ability to adapt to changing priorities and situations quickly.
