We have an opportunity for well- organized and adaptable individuals to Supervise and manage both Ramp Team Leaders and Ramp Agents (GSE operators), to ensure that our ground handling is delivered safely on time and consistently in line with service level standards set for both on time and station performance. And to influence and facilitate the consistent delivery of a “World Class” product to our Airline Customers.

 

Main accountabilities include:

  • Well organised with good attention to detail, proactive and able to work as part of a dynamic team.
  • Previous wide/narrow bodied aircraft handling experience.
  • Valid SAL certificate required.
  • Be able to adapt to airline loading variations.
  • Able to recognise and deal with challenges promptly and efficiently.
  • Ability to work within a pressured environment being flexible to adapt to changing demands /circumstances.
  • Previous supervisory experience is desirable but not essential.
  • Exemplary punctuality and absence record.
  • Provide full cooperation with other departments that you come in contact with during operations to ensure the common goal of turning round aircraft is met in an efficient, professional and safe manner.
  • Familiarize yourself with the Companies electronic and automated reporting and data systems utilizing these systems for reporting and observations of all incidents and accidents.
  • Report any faults or irregularities with equipment, facilities or processes and/or action according to procedures with the relevant departmental managers/supervisors to ensure there is no adverse impact to operations and the needs of our customers.
  • Collate accurate information about your shift (sickness/leave/GSE issues/manpower issues/safety and security incidents etc) which is to be documented within a shift report.
  • Evaluate procedures and processes making recommendations for continuous improvement to meet customer satisfaction.
  • Any other reasonable request as instructed by a member of the management team.

  • Carry out all activities of the role and processing activities (as above) as directed by the Company through its policies, procedures and training to ensure the success of the operation including the following:

  • Remain up to date with all station notices relating to policies and procedures.
  • Remain up to date with all relevant operational, systems and Customer Service training.

Qualifications and experience:

  • Previous airport ramp experience and knowledge is essential.
  • Must be reliable and punctual with good office and organizational skills.
  • Customer and safety focused.
  • Flexible and with the ability to adapt to changing priorities and situations.
  • Must be a problem solver able to use their own initiative in overcoming problems.
  • Well organised with good attention to detail, proactive and able to work as part of a dynamic team.
  • Previous wide-bodied aircraft handling experience.
  • Ability to use computers, laptops and operational systems.
  • Able to recognise and deal with challenges promptly and efficiently.
  • Ability to work within a pressured environment being flexible to adapt to changing demands/circumstances. 
  • Previous supervisory experience.
  • National driving licence.
