Role Purpose

Safety Security couple with Learning and Quality are what make us an industry leading Aviation Services provider. The Risk Analyst and Systems Specialists ensure our systems are run efficiently and that we use the data they provide to reduce operational risk and continuously improve our performance.

The Risk Analyst and system support role; has an in-depth knowledge of our risk systems including:

  • EMPOWER
  • MORSE our safety and security management system
  • SMART
  • Q5

They also have the skills and expertise to  analysing  the data from these and other systems to ensure we remain at the forefront of safety within the aviation industry.

The role will work with our end users globally to ensure they have access to the appropriate systems and have the information needed to use them efficiently and effectively. They will provide support and work with our suppliers to report and rectify system issues as well as define system enhancements and provide testing for new releases.

 

What you will be doing

Systems Management: Configuration and setup of the above systems and any other systems related to the risk function

  • Configuration, system reliability, Live/Pilot system synchronisation
  • Maintain and improve the data Integrity of system feeds.
  • Issue Support Tickets & Tracking
  • System performance monitoring and reporting of SLA (Status alerts etc)
  • Upkeep of SMS Text alerts database
  • Producing documented processes and training material for end users
  • Upkeep of event descriptors and identifying opportunities for improvement.
  • Co-ordinator between Group risk team, users and IT Dept.
  • Business Support as required.
  • Support business startups and Integrations by setting up systems, providing logins, training etc.
  • Systems Management: Configuration and setup of the above systems and any other systems related to the risk function

Project management and  support responsibilities such as:

  • Support the building of business analytics using power BI to solve business problems using risk and other corporate data.
  • Test developments and implementing new releases.
  • Data upload management with Menzies Aviation IT
  • Develop and update the use of MS Teams to support our systems with FAQ User guides etc
  • Liaise with helpdesk and troubleshooting of systems.
  • Work with Risk SMEs to drive better data analysis.
  • Support the risk team to perform other reasonable duties as maybe required.
  • Some international travel may be required to support startups and integration training onsite.
  • Identifying statistical correlations, causal relationships
  • Document their role and support other members of the team with cross training.

 

Update and administer the LMS platforms to ensure certification and compliance is captured. Support our learning teams in configuring the system and setting up the administration for the:

  • User Support.
  • Provide local system administrators with support and training.
  • Develop and generate reports as required.
  • Support our end users with the content repository system.
  • Maintain user database, approve new users, and remove users as required.
  • Review new releases and ensure they meet the Menzies Aviation branding and business needs.
  • Provide user support to the training teams with any issues arising from the new digital modules & associated systems.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to facilitate and co-ordinate the upload and implementation of new learning modules.

What we are looking for

  • Working and demonstrable knowledge of the systems administration of IT systems particularly those related to Safety, Security, Quality, and Learning Management Systems.
  • Knowledge of Menzies Risk systems and empower LMS would be useful
  • IT literacy and advanced knowledge on Microsoft packages with the ability to quickly gain a working knowledge of modern technology.
  • Customer Service Focus
  • Robust, collaborative team player with the ability to engage at all levels.
  • Output orientated.
  • Flexible, detailed, a completer/finisher.
  • Teamwork/collaboration – works effectively with individuals and teams, including those outside the formal span of control, in the achievement of business goals.

  • Systems – comfortable working with basic systems such as word and excel, SharePoint and understanding and utilizing safety and security management and associated systems
