Role Purpose

The purpose of the role is to Prevent and Reduce the likelihood of incidents by applying risk management methodologies.

The role is responsible for the day-to-day running the operational risk department, setting plans, ensuring they effectively communicated, monitored and reviewing performance to agree actions to drive continual improvement.  Furthermore, the role is responsible for ensuring the operational culture is embedded in every dept. Liaison and communication with operational teams, airport authorities, airlines, and regulators is an important part of this role.

 

What you will be doing

  • Communication and successful implementation of Operational Risk matters to all levels of the business.
  • Conduct the organisation's risk induction programs and wellbeing training.
  • Managing all Risk systems to ensure reports are timely addressed and closed.
  • Implementing and managing station risk assessments, risk-registers, LOPs, investigations, risk promotion and reviews.
  • Managing and monitoring workplace compliance with applicable legislation, policies, and procedures
  • Providing support in the development of local policies and procedures.
  • Managing and co-ordinating station H&S Committee and Risk meetings.
  • Manage and conduct internal Operational Risk quality assurance audits that includes 8 Pillar program.

What we are looking for

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Minimum 5 years of Risk experience in a management role
  • Effective communication, interpersonal skills and timely decision making
  • Leadership as well as team-building skills along with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent verbal, oral and written English communication skills and local language as indicated.
  • Computer literacy – strong Office 365 skills (Teams, Word, Excel & PowerPoint) and the ability to learn and use an online dashboard system. 
  • Knowledge of airport operations, quality management and global aviation industry QHSE standards.
  • Preferably IRCA Lead Auditor or NEBOSH Certificate in OHS Licenses/ Certifications
