Role Purpose

Reporting to the General Manager, the job holder is responsible for the business interests and operations of the Station. The post holder will be responsible for the day-to-day operations at the Station including Service Delivery, Passenger Service, Ramp and Ground Operations departments.

 

What you will be doing

  • Plan and direct operational activities to ensure cohesive and effective service delivery from all operational departments.
  • Monitoring and reporting on operational performance and service delivery, taking action to correct any shortfalls
  • Liaising with airline Management, airport operations management, handling agents, customs, immigration, and security officials, union officials, and other airport stakeholders.
  • Leading, developing, coaching and motivating managers to develop and utilise their skills.
  • Promote and actively encourage just culture.

What we are looking for

  • At least 5 years operational management experience.
  • Experience and knowledge of aviation services, GSE, ramp handling and operations.
  • Excellent leadership and people management skills
  • Strong communications skills and experience in liaising with senior airline, airport, and other stakeholder personnel.
  • Able to work with a multi-national work force, and to adjust to the local conditions of the station.
