Role Purpose

Responsible for coordinating the training within the UK region to ensure consistency of performance and standards in order to support operational output and ensure regulatory compliance.

What you will be doing

  • Manage the development of organisational strategy and plans to meet training and development needs in collaboration with station management team.
  • Adopt and drive through the business an innovative approach to training management and delivery.
  • Responsible for updating/administering regional e-learning content within the e-learning design software.
  • Liaise with empower to ensure the maintenance of curricula to ensure ongoing regulatory compliance within LMS.
  • Provide oversight of training plan delivery, measure and follow-up as necessary, to include a formal review in conjunction with station management teams.
  • Manage the sourcing of development training and facilitate its delivery for the senior leadership and risk teams as necessary.
  • In collaboration with the station training management teams, ensure the development and annual review of Aviation Security training materials
  • Responsible for supporting the UK Security Manager with the management, implementation, oversight and compliance of the Menzies Quality Assurance Framework for Aviation Security Training. This includes facilitating CAA performance based oversight audits.
  • Maintaining and delivery of the UK specific LDP appendix 1C with annual reviews of all regional training material
  • Ensure all training activities and materials meet with relevant organisational and statutory policies, including health & safety, employment and equality laws.
  • To ensure full regulatory compliance and liaison with HSE, CAA and various enforcement agencies where required.
  • Key contact for Pristine Condition UK contract, responsible for maintaining relationship, licencing requirements and delivery of contractual obligations.
  • Support for stations in implementing trained and appropriate structure to facilitate the pristine condition program.
  • Be first point of contact for all Training Co-ordinators/Planning Managers.
  • Conduct regular UK training meetings with all trainers and OSDA's to ensure full understanding of changes in policy and requirements.
  • To ensure all UK stations follow the guidelines of the Learning development policy.
  • Conduct regular checks and develop audit process for station dashboards.
  • Ensure a program of training delivery evaluation in maintaining the highest standards of learning.
  • Ensure all stations review, manage and maintain station material within the Regional sharepoint folder in accordance with the local appendix 5 matrix.
  • To be the brand ambassador for the MORSE Leader Academy including maintenance of the material.
  • To be able to develop and design training programmes when needed in accordance with business requirements.
  • Attend and actively participate in the regional SQRB.
  • Attend any future courses that will be required at any time by Menzies Aviation to enable them to carry out regulatory and mandatory training on behalf of Menzies Aviation.
  • Assist stations with airline audits, start up programs or other support requirements where needed

What we are looking for

AET level 3 qualification or equivalent

Airport Security Manager DFT qualification / DFT Training CIN training qualification

Underpinning knowledge of the aviation industry.

Ability to manage projects & people & facilitate as necessary.

Self-motivated, disciplined with a can do attitude.
