The primary purpose of this new role will be the creation and delivery of the Menzies digital strategy to transform the employee and customer digital experience across all areas of the business.

Leading the Digital Team, you will work on projects across all areas of the business to transform the employee and customer digital experience. These projects will mainly (but not exclusively) involve the strategic application of technology – new and existing, as well as working with business areas and customers to help define and enable their continuous improvement programmes.

 

Candidate Requirements: 

  • Creation, planning and management of a Digital Strategy for Menzies Aviation.
  • Creation of a Modern Workplace within Menzies to improve collaboration, productivity and engagement of all employees.
  • Work with key stakeholders to ensure successful understanding, support and delivery of the strategy.
  • Own the strategic relationships with various external partners, including Microsoft to ensure that we are leveraging benefits from the product catalogue.
  • Identifying and selecting suppliers of innovative technology that will help deliver the Digital Strategy.
  • Clarifying and defining measures of success for Digital Initiatives.
  • Delivery of projects that support that continuous improvement programmes of business units to improve productivity and efficiency
  • Leading the Digital Team to deliver new projects and technologies as well as upgrades and continuous improvements
  • Creation of technology roadmap to map out the Digital journey

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Demonstrable experience of creating a Digital Strategy.
  • Demonstrable experience of developing, implementing, managing and leading technology change initiatives, ideally in an Aviation environment. In addition, a genuine interest and passion for driving forward technology changes to make a difference to our end users.
  • Planning and organisational skills to formulate long-term strategic plans which will affect the whole organization.
  • IT Roadmap creation and delivery – experience in producing / helping to produce an IT roadmap and the subsequent delivery of that roadmap.
  • IT System selection - experience of system selection to meet business needs and vision, from requirement gathering, through RFP creation, to system selection and deployment.
  • Experience of the Microsoft power platform and realizing business benefit from solutions delivered in it.
  • Influence – able to influence a wide range of groups and individuals to actively support a point of view or position. Demonstrates ability to secure ‘buy-in' of others who may hold a contrary view.
  • Teamwork/collaboration – works effectively with individuals and teams, including those outside the formal span of control, in the achievement of business goals.
  • Data-driven – strong analytical skills and an ability to quickly identify clear and underlying trends and factors.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to establish effective working relationships with a variety of different stakeholders is essential, with ability to present ideas, reports and proposals in a succinct and coherent way.
  • Strong project management experience.
  • Excellent commercial skills to enable strong supplier relationship management.
